Related to both this today’s short lived XJS shitposting:
I used to see an XJS parked on this corner of 79th and Park daily:
Parked right where the dumpster is in front of the G-Wagen. It had a custom plate that said Van Dyke, and it never moved. It always had a huge stack of parking tickets on the windshield.
I always figured that Van Dyke lived in the building on that corner and he DGAF.
I would look forward to Van Dyke’s pretty XJS and it’s stack of parking tickets every day.
Then one day it disappeared and I never saw it again.
But it lives on in my heart.
Edit:
I miss you, Van Dyke’s XJS.

RIP XJS
I know that feeling when a local car just stops appearing. Near my house for years there was always a Fiat Seicento wearing a cool paintjob. One day it just disappeared.
